Can anyone remember the plant supports that Monty Don made with metal rods? It was on a GW programme and may have been a couple of years ago now. He bent the rods using a wooden board as a lever but I cannot for the life of me remember how he did it. Can anyone help please?

Oh yes those plant supports are excellent.

I wasn't sure where to get the iron poles from, so we made them out of copper tubing from Wickes, rather more expensive than I wanted but they still look lovely years later.

Marvellous! I've been looking for this for ages,  and we really need them this year. Thanks!

I'm liking the copper tubing idea, but what diameter did you use and how did you stop it just folding when you bent it rather than it forming lovely curves?

Steve, I think you'd need to use a plumber's pipe-bending spring to stop a copper pipe from folding when you bend it.
