What's the best way to propagate a vibernum bodnantense?

Hardwood cuttings now. It may grow from soft wood cuttings but I've never tried it.

Mine sends out suckers a about 6 inch from the original plants. I cut them off with a sharp spade and replant.

Mine sends out suckers that are right up against the parent and I can't get them out, making a very tight bush and difficulty pruning out the old stems.

That may be due to the high brick and concrete content of my soil

Self layers too!

Will give it a go this weekend - love plants for free!

Mine's too upright to self layer, I'll give it some help

Thanx all. Haven't got a parent plant myself so hardwood cuttings will suit me better. Wish me luck!

Was tidying up my aunt's borders yesterday and guess what was lurking behind the shed - yup, in all it's fragrant glory.  So have a couple of layers on the go ????
