I bought some Trachycarpus Nainital seeds and planted them about three weeks ago.  I know they will take a while(upto 3 months) to germinate and, being the impatient person I am, I should have probably bought an established plant instead.

Has anyone had success stories with any versions of these from seed?

If so, is there anything other than keeping the soil moist and the plant hot  ( 30 Degrees C) i can do?

I was thinking of getting a reptile heat mat but am not sure about this idea, what techniques have people used to keep the plants warm?

Thanks again for any help.
