Beautifully Odd Foxglove

I love my foxgloves and all bee friendly flowers in my garden. This appeared last summer, and had beautiful large bell shaped flowers on the bottom stems and this odd shaped 'fan' at the top. What could have caused this? It grew to about 6 feet in height.

these are the lower 'bell' stems
It is almost certainly 'fasciation'. See this RHS link for an explanation:

I have only ever seen fasciation on some white holly that we have, never thought it could have been the same for my foxglove! thanks
There was a thread on here some time ago where people put on pictures of different plants affected by fasciation. I will try to find it and bump it up for you to see
Maybe foxgloves are prone to this. The picture I posted on the fasciation thread was of foxgloves

They are nut. Other plants where it is common are mentioned in the RHS link.
Thanks Bob, should have read more carefully instead of my usual speed-read

I've seen lots of foxgloves with fasciation. I kinda like it.
