Hi all,

in people's experiences, what are the best plants for attracting butterflies apart from budeia.

Sedums  are very good Justin, and easy to grow.

I bought some eupatorium last year and they were covered in butterflies and bees all the time they were in flower, but they are quite tall, but also architectural.

Buddleias, of course.

Agastaches...the humming bird plant....attracted bees aNd butterflies last year.  Heleniums too seemed to attract butterflies late in the season.

I second Euphatorium, very attractive to butterflies! Also Aster 'Little Carlow'.

If you go to the garden centre and ask for Sedum Spectabile plants, butterflies and bees love them, i bought some today : )

Not ever heard of butterfly weed before, looks like an interesting plant

Munsted red sedun are lovely, they grow to two ft and spread too : )

Don't forget the caterpillar plants too.  So leave a patch of nettles.
