early January was very mild here. Didn't see anything amphibious. They would have regretted it later for sure.

Welcome Smalemi. Iim in Cornwall too.....bit further west. Think there are a few of us now. Good news about your frog spawn. We have been lucky with our weather...15 degrees for a while today......whilst the rest of the country has been freezing

Hello Smalemi. I'm in Dordogne, France, but I think everyone must be fed up with hearing that by now! We've had a lot of snow here, but it's gone now. We also have a lot of toads in the Spring.

I live near St Austell and have a small pond which is two years old. I watched two large frogs "at it" this morning, the first I have seen since putting the pond in, despite there being plenty of frogs in the garden. I am looking forward to my very own frog nursery, although I have several large fish in it so think they will probably eat most of the tadpoles.

Mother Nature can be so cruel.

Nature is neither cruel nor kind - it just is.
