early January was very mild here. Didn't see anything amphibious. They would have regretted it later for sure.
Welcome Smalemi I am in Tavistock, so just over the border.
Hello Smalemi. I'm in Dordogne, France, but I think everyone must be fed up with hearing that by now! We've had a lot of snow here, but it's gone now. We also have a lot of toads in the Spring.
Good news Smalemi, pretty sure I saw spawn and some tadpoles last year, don't think much came of it thought, but maybe this
Hi ya i,m in the West Midlands i,ve seen nothink yet in my two pools only my two little comets resting at the bottom where its warmer carnt wait though to see some frogs.
I live near St Austell and have a small pond which is two years old. I watched two large frogs "at it" this morning, the first I have seen since putting the pond in, despite there being plenty of frogs in the garden. I am looking forward to my very own frog nursery, although I have several large fish in it so think they will probably eat most of the tadpoles.
Mother Nature can be so cruel.
Nature is neither cruel nor kind - it just is.
