One of a couple of Heralds hibernating in the woodstore

That is so beautiful. It looks like an autumn leaf.

You're right Ceres, very leaf-like

That is a lovely photo Nut

Well done Mr. Nut

I like the way that it's lined itself up with the brown stripe and got its white legs into the white parts. Beautiful.

My smilies and toolbar have made a return visit

Lovely moth Nut.

I had this one... no idea what he is.

Garden Carpet I think Lyn

Lovely pix ladies

Who'd have thought I'd be saying that nut? Wouldn't have been able to a couple of years ago

When I was cutting back my Lavender at the start of October there was a Hummingbird Hawk Moth buzzing around.

That was an incredible sight

The imitation of a leaf is incredible isn't it!! Two lovely pictures

Fairygirl - were you afraid of moths? Mrs F is...she screams.

Mattbeer - they are quite startling in broad daylight aren't they.

I used to go absolutely hysterical over moths but when I had my first baby I made up my mind to cure myself of the phobia.  I started very slowly but did get over it and now, but only over the past few years I can catch them and hold them.

What I have never been able to get over is crane flys, if there is one in the house I wont go in that room until I see it caught then put outside. Silly really, but there we are.

It was the first I had ever seen, I didnt know what it was. I assumed it was a real Hummingbird until my neighbor told me what it was.
