Small pond

I have an old Belfast sink would this be ok to make a small pond , if so what plants would I need to put in it to attracted wildlife , thanks image

    But yes,

    Would be better if you can drop it into the ground. This helps regulate water temperature and makes it easier for things to get in and out



    As for plants, I've got my native favourites that I recommend, they look good and are perfect for wildlife.



    Although space will be limited .



    Veronica beccabunga- for around the edges



    Water forget me not

    Watercress.

    Starwort

    Baldelia ranunculoides

    Utricularia



    Botomus umbellatus

    Acorus calamus

  • With a sink, you really need to make sure that there are stable rocks inside to make a beach to allow any beasties inside to escape or some of them will drown!
