Ponds dont have to big, any water source will encourage wildlife, a simple preformed pond can be simple installed in ground or above something as tiny as an old kitchen sink can become a friving place for frogs, newts and all the marginal plants that you will be able to grow will bring in aload more wilflife too. if you go for this option buy a small fountain pump to place in the bottom i suggest a small solar powered one like this http://www.bradshawsdirect.co.uk/pondkraft-solar-fountain-pump to keep the water flowing it will also give you the relaxing sound of running water which no only you will love but so will the birds

Any other pond questions just ask
