Gardening masterclass

David with our masterclass guests

In March 2017, we hosted two brand new gardening masterclasses, led by BBC Gardeners' World Magazine Associate Editor, David Hurrion.

Our new pruning and sowing masterclasses took place at two stunning locations - Farley Hill Place Gardens in Berkshire, and Stockton Bury Gardens in Herefordshire. Here's what some of our guests thought...

The day was well structured and we felt that we were treated as individuals. David has an easy manner and passed on his knowledge on the subject in such a way that it was easy to understand."

Highgrove subscriber event with Alan Titchmarsh

Highrove event

The Royal Gardens at Highrove are the private gardens of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

In September 2016 we hosted an evening event at Highrove, exclusively for BBC Gardeners' World Magazine subscribers. The event included a champagne reception on the terrace, followed by an early evening tour of the Highgrove gardens and a two-course dinner with an entertaining and inspiring talk by Alan Titchmarsh.

Jacqueline Flindall

Alan and magazine Editor, Lucy Hall "We would like to thank you for the best evening out we've ever had - bar none! The celebration at Highrove of BBC Gardeners' World Magazine's 25th anniversary was sensational - everyone was so hospitable and welcoming.

The garden tour, reception and dinner - everything was perfect. Alan Titchmarsh was funny, witty, professional and has such knowledge.

An absolutely brilliant evening, one we will never forget."

"Thank you for organising such a truly memorable evening last week at Highgrove. The gardens were stunning - followed by good food, good wine, great company and Mr Titchmarsh on top form.

The weather was ideal, all in all a perfect evening. The goodie bags were overflowing with all sorts of treasures, so thank you for those also."

Lunch at Le Manoir

Le Manoir

We organised a special lunch to celebrate the 25th anniversary of BBC Gardeners' World Magazine, which took place in April and September 2016. The event included a garden tour, champagne reception, a cocktail masterclass and a 2-Michelin star three-course lunch with accompanying wines at Raymond Blanc’s Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.

Gardens

"I want to say a very big thank you to all concerned with the most wonderful day at The Manoir aux Quat'Saisons. It was a perfect day with superb planning and organisation. A brilliant Kate gave us a fantastic, enthusiastic tour of the fabulous gardens and the Cocktail Masterclass, champagne reception and superb lunch were a delight. What a brilliant day."

Christine and Brian Julyan

Wine with lunch

"What a splendid day! After a warm welcome and a coffee, a well-informed gardener took us on an interesting tour of the gardens. The cocktail demonstration was enough to whet our apetites and many of us enjoyed our champagne aperitif in glorious sunshine in the courtyard.

Free goodie bag

The meal that followed was superb, enjoyed amongst company with good conversation - the dining room absolutely buzzed!

Thank you so much for arranging such a memorable day out and for the lovely books and goodie bags to take home."
