If you’re planning a spring clean of outdoor areas a pressure washer could save you a great deal of hard work.
Pressure washers range in price between £40 and £400 and how much you need to spend will be determined by the size of your space, how dirty it gets and, of course, your budget.
In this video guide to buying a pressure washer, we look at entry level, intermediate and premium models. First, we outline the three factors that determine the power of your machine: wattage of the motor, water pressure and maximum water flow rate.
Next, we offer advice on dealing with vulnerable, easily damaged surfaces and larger areas, such as paths and patios, that require high-pressure cleaning. We then run through the various optional extras, including patio cleaner attachments, brushes for cars and glass, 90° nozzles for cleaning under cars and drain-blasting hoses.
Other topics covered include ease and comfort of use, manoeuvrability of the machine, storage options and protective clothing.
Choose the right pressure washer for you, your garden and your budget, with the help of our video Buyer’s Guide.
