Do it:

After a hot summer, Monty Don is busy harvesting succulent fruits from his wall-trained fig tree (Ficus carica 'Brown Turkey'). In this short video clip from Gardeners' World, he explains how to tell when the fruits are perfectly ripe and ready to pick. He also shows you the medium-sized green fruits that need to be removed this autumn, as they won't have time to ripen, and the tiny pea-sized fruits that will form next year's crop.
