Thanks for an informative video
I live in western australia, on the coastal plain, very poor sandy soil, needs improving plusplus plus
water logging as in your heavy soil is not a problem, quite the reverse, the soil can become very water repellent.
In this soil type, after improving with manure and compost, would it still be necessary to plant asparagus crowns on a ridge, as per th video

I recently bought asparagus and on the back it says to dig a trench 20cm deep, pop the asparagus in, then lightly cover. Over th next six months, keep covering the growth until completely filled. Which way is best? Also, since I have already planted, should I keep it where it is now??
