Prepare for an explosion of colour at Kew Gardens this summer. Get fragrantly close with exotic orchids, wildflowers from across the world and breathtaking garden designs, all waiting to be explored, with even more to see and do this year in celebration of Kew Gardens’ 250th anniversary.

Horticultural delights include planting and displays, such as the Parterre display, global floral spectacular and the newly planted Rose Garden.
All summer there is so much to be enjoyed as part of Kew's 250th anniversary. In 1759 William Aiton was appointed to care for and expand the gardens at Kew for Princess Augusta and since those days the gardens have developed into the world famous gardens of today.
Of course Kew isn't just a pretty garden, it has also played a pivotal role as a world leader in plant science and conservation, making a crucial contribution to the future of the planet. Do have a look through this site to find out about the fantastic events happening this summer at Kew for you and the family to join in the birthday celebrations.

There’s always something to see and do at Kew Gardens – it’s open every day of the year (except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).
Aside from the beautiful and unique gardens themselves and the iconic glasshouses filled with exotic plants, there’s the Treetop Walkway, 59ft up in the air, Climbers and Creepers (an interactive botanical play zone for kids), and many special events to get you involved.

You could enjoy it even more with a year’s free pass for two to visit Kew Gardens whenever you please. To enter, click here.
