looks to me as if it has the dreaded caterpillars that are gradually killing off all our Box bushes all over France
Mine get infected each year and costs a fortune to spray them .check the bush to see the small balck and green caterpillars
my large rhododendrons lower leaves have started to turn yellow I have started to remove them by just shaking the bush which is in a very large container.I have had this plant for about 8 years and its the first time this has happened .I thought it could be due to vine weavil but after digging a bit around the plant I found nothing
shouid I wait a bit as when I scratch the branches there is green underneath
looking for a couple of flowering climbing plants in my north facing conservatory with no sun at all
I have already a lovely bougainvillea which does flower with help with lots of tomatoe fertilizer
my large 5 year old Hebe seems to be dead!!
strange as we didn't get any frost this winter and I thought that maybe they don't live that long?
unfortunately I can't peg a few roots as it grows in the pavement in front of my house and has been there for about 40 years and I cannot see any earth what so ever so I suppose I should treat it like Lavender and just prune down slightly .thanks for all your advice
I have a very old honeysuckle which needs a serious prune but I was wondering before I begin if I cut it right down to the old wood, which is the hight I would like,, is there a risk that the whole hedge dies
ok thanks for all your help and I will go and buy special fertilizer for this type of plant as I have always used tomatoe feed for the whole garden!!
should I give it a good feed now,,? I fed it late spring and added some more compost on the top as it is impossible to chang all the soil as the pot is enormous as well as the plant its self. There are big big buds already formed for next year and of course with all the rain we have had this summer !!!
My 5 year old rhododendron which is in a large container has bsome bottom leaves turning yellow..Is this a normal thing to shed older leaves or is it a sign of vineweevil which I have quite often in various other pots on my terrace
