Dog fouling on lawn and in the soil

i agree with sotongeoff sometimes its the irresponsible owners that dont care where there animal does a pooh as long as its not in there garden usually they take there dog out in the dark so no one can see them,it makes me so mad. these people are the lowest of the low, so unless you catch the culpret,keep a shovel handy

hi all just to say i have had hostas for many years and this year only one flowered and that was pathetic so dont worry you are not alone next year will be better im sure

hiya all just reading information on cannas as i live in devon and its very mild this year my cannas did not flower so on all your advice i am going to dig them there are a lot of stems around 20 do i take the soil off or leave it in one big clump,as i will never have a pot big enough the clump is around 2ft square can anyone help.

hi bjay these are great plants they do best near a pond as they like the moisture they will grow in light shade and any good garden soil will do you can divide them in spring or autumn they do however prefer a sunny site and you can get various species

thanks everyone i have had a good look and the roots go all the way up the stem so its all going to get buried will let you know if i kill it

can u help,i bought some purple cone flower roots from a mail catalogue they arrived today but i dont know what way up to plant them,they are around 6ins long but they have one thicker stem,as such but then very fine roots all the way up it,as you can see i havent  had these plants befor.

no you are not alone everything is welcome in my garden we have lots of birds squirrels,small frogs in our little pond little field mice running about and we love it also we have a cat that just sits looking at them all,and i feel sorry for the people who just are bent on killing things its so sad.
