chillie pepper seeds

Posted: 01/06/2013 at 18:13

I recently picked up a complementary pack of chillie seeds from a Mexican Restaurant. Is it still possible to sow them or have I missed the boat ? I have a small propagator but it isnt heated. Obviously I am new to this ....

I have been given 3 magnolia plants very small but still alive! as a new gardener I am at a loss as what to do with them so I have planted them in pots. What do I need to do to them to encourage growth ? also what is the best position for them.

Hi Jarob 24 I love the idea of a living bamboo wig wam. How do you do that and can I start one this time of the year ?

Thanks every one for such a quick response,  all your suggestions were very helpful. Verdun, I am going to plant the beans in two quite large deep raised beds that we recycled out of packing crates. The depth is aprox 45cm x 1200cm  will this be Ok ? How would you place the canes ?

Hi, I have been given 1 x Raspberry bush 1 x Redcurrant bush & 1 x Blackcurrant bush . They were dug up from a neighbours garden and look pretty wild. Is it worth planting them and if so what conditions do they like. I really dont have a clue but would like to give it a go.  I am a novice with a largish garden to fill.

Cat Poo in the compost !

Yeah, everything is well rotted. Thats the shame as it would have been perfect to use. I have made a start digging it over and sorting out the " bits I don't want " but the smell is not good ! Also worried that if I transfer it to other parts of the garden it will encourage the cats to use new areas

Thanks for your help
