What the heck - my purse isn't big enough - but one can dream

I oooh just seen that we can get a further 10% off GW offer prices. That would take the hellebore offer to just under £10 for 5 orientalis ...... Are we thinking project accepting it will take time or a no go!!

Poorly evergreen heaucra

Weird! I have 2 at the back on the clay soil and the pride and joy at the front on sandy soil looks like it's dying back, the stems and centre leaves are tiny but look fine, all old and external leaves are brown around the edges and curling.

would it help to cut off some of the stem where it has a neat centre and pot them up and hope, do they root this way? I don't really have the funds to buy treatments, I spent my garden fund this year

I have been rather worried about my stunning vibrant reddy/purple heaucra for a week, today I saw it in daylight and was shocked. It's flopped, leaves curled looks like it's dying back and giving up. Last year this was stunning all through the winter and flowered its socks off this summer.

should I cut off some of the  stem that appears to have healthy tips and try and root this??? What's going on, is this more hard earned plant pennies going into foliage heaven!!! ????

thanks, I thought it was me trying too hard. They were only in about 1 litre pots and good compost, they were near my veg so may well have had the odd treat of tomato feed as my other half seemed to think everything would do better that way. I will keep everything crossed for this coming year then. Shall I leave in snall pots or bigger tubs or border???? They were 50p so I took a gamble. Yes yes yes I know I am cheap, all my posts are about being canny and making more or saving and I'm sorry!

Interesting post. I bought 2 bare roots this year, I got leaves and growth but no flowers and was disappointed with the size. These are in compost in an unheateffd greenhouse to over winter, what did I do wrong??
