Thank you one and all lots of suggestions gonna try all of them , and see what happens , will try each one in different place to see what works best for me

Thanks will try that ,I don't drink coffee but will make some special for them and got garlic so will give a go , try any thing , keeping other brussels in pots till they are tall.

Good morning everyone from a sunny  Essex ,suddenly I am overrun by SLUGS, tried Pellets ,two different types, but they seem to like them ,  grit round plants , Bird cage grit ,oyster shell grit,  they have munched on my Brocolli ,my purple brussels , But do not like pak choi ,   now after my dahlia ,  has anyone heard of putting cat litter down (un used of course ) this was recomended but I am not sure ????? any suggestions please .

Thank you both for the advice , not sure if I had already done this , as I have had a bit of a problem at home with elderly relatives, and my mind has been a bit muddled , it seems all is well and I can get back to my garden .,

Just planted a new clematis , Polish Spirit in a large pot , I know they like their roots in shade so what do you suggest I put over roots please ,pebbles , or old tiles /

Walked round garden 3 times, might be able to sqeeze them in ,will be a bit tight, but will try tomorrow, thanks for feedback  Verdun and hollie hock .

Hi , I have found putting copper wash up scourers round plants helps ,  and have heard of beer traps.

Is it possible to grow delphiniums in a pot , I have been given two as a present ,but have no room to put them, black night is their name ,

No happy marion they put on the ducking stool and put in the pond , if they drowned they were not witches , if they floated well then they were hanged , pond still there.  But will divide them and see how I go ,  thanx to one and all,
