Which soil is best for Minature Lilac bush potting - ordinary or ericacious

I recently bought 3 lemon verbena plants which arrived by post.  I stood them in water overnight then potted them.  Now they look dry and sad..  Is there any hope for them?

It Is Not Spring Yet !!!

Primroses are never miserable, they are the finest flowers to show themselves in the early part of the year.  I remember a little poem about them from childhood, "dear little primrose the first of the year, coming to tell us that April is near.  Shining so brightly although it is cold; show us sweet primrose your star of pale gold".   I just love the natural ones.

Am waiting now to sow some seeds , it's too cold here at the moment.

Talkback: Robins

I'm surprised that anyone should question why robins are associated with Christmas. When Christ was in the manger, the little fire available was fanned by the robins' wings so that the infant could keep warm. In doing so their breast became scorched. Thereafter all robins have red breasts. I am 80 and was told that story throughout my childhod. I prefer to believe it!
