Thanks  Not sure how much credit I can take for the castle shot - I took it with my phone camera and couldn't see what was in the view finder as the sun was shining on it  Was v pleased with the result though

Bekkie, is not Angels Fishing Rod, is guara (according to the label)

Evening all

Had a change of location for today and we went to Scotney Castle In Kent. Had a lovely day

Lovely gardens. Would have been amazing if we'd visited when the rhododendrons had been in flower. They had HUGE ones

Have decided to satisfy the plant porn obsessives amongst you . . .

Plants bought last weekend:

I'd forgotten about eucalyptus Fairy. At the RHS Q&A we had at work this was one of the suggestions of the experts as it responds well to 'coppicing' and looks good following a cut back.

Have you thought about bamboo? I know people talk about it spreading but clump forming type should be ok  They use it as screening at our local zoo

Afternoon all

Good to see you Punkdoc  Glad you had a good holiday and enjoyed Glastonberry  I remember a time when my mum was frail, and it is so hard. I am lucky as she recovered, but I understand what you mean. We are here for you if you need us.

Thought I'd share my lunch companion with you all . . .
