Bekkie, if I turn the shed around then I won't be able to get in

KEF, am a bit jel of the cheesy biscuits. Love cheesy biscuits. Might have to make some tomorrow

Night all

Btw, chook was delish

Hmm, I did think my rarely cooked chook comment might have read a bit wrong when I wrote it  Obv I will cook it properly

Chicky, I'm still having a think about the planting. Have golden rod in the border where the new bit will meet it, and don't really want to move it. Might leave the red robin out of the mix, but it will provide year round interest when the others lose their leaves. More thinking needed . . . .

OL, glad you had a lovely meet with KEF  Did you get her to buy anything?

Thanks KEF

Enjoy your dinner - we are having a rarely cooked roast  We are having chook, and thank you M&S for offering it all for £10

Thanks Lily

Just wish I was a bit handier (or OH was) then I'd fix the window in the shed  Problem is, after a while you stop seeing the cruddy bits

BM, here's a picture that I hope will explain what I mean - and will also satisfy Lily's lust for pics

So, this side of the pic is grass, and, by planting across to the left of the arch where the plants are laid out, this will mean that you have to go through the arch to access the rest of the garden, thus creating 'a room' of the bit you can't see. Hope this makes more sense?!

Lily, you will prob have to seriously enlarge the pic to see my new tree though it

KEF, glad you had a lovely time meeting OL  Did she get you to buy any of her wares?

That sounds like a great deal Fidget

Yvie, I am sorry you seem to be abandoned by family when you and your mum need them most

Feel a bit naughty today as all I have done so far is sat and admired my garden, specifically my tree and arch  Am gearing myself up to the creation of a joining bed to link the arch to the border, and thus create 'a room'. I am comforted by the fact that the tree hole wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, but have now hit planting g debates with myself. The original plant was for my red robin, hydrangea, and white buddleiea to fill it, but have just remembered my tree peony, so am now not sure. Am debating if I can get all four in!! What do you think?
