What's flowering in your garden today?

Posted: 03/03/2015 at 17:48

I have snowdrops, crocus (yellow), purple ones showing petals, daffodils, primroses, hellebores and my new Christmas Box  My pulminaria have disappeared this year so must look to get some more. Also have pink bits showing on my elephants ears (don't know the techie name )

There are still some scones left for those that feel they missed out - a definate must for afternoon tea

Hard to believe it's snowing as I have a lovely spring morning with sunshine  I imagine the wind is cutting mind you

Winter, I always end up with waaaaay too much when I cadge a lift to a GC

Have a lovely day all

Am trying to make cheese scones - only mine never rise and they take considerably longer than the 10 minutes Mary Berry thinks they take to cook

Finally "manned up" and made it out into the garden  My new snow drops are planted round the silver birch along with my alkanets  I also started the removal of the couch grass from amongst the crocosmia in my square bed.  This was quite brutal removal, with the brown bin getting rather a large amount of dirt with the grass - along with crocosmia bulbs  Well, they needed thinning anyway and they're not where I would have put them

Then had a big rainstorm - not sure if there was hail too so can't confirm any sightings down here.

Good to see you OL/SL

That placcy greenhouse looks great GG. Wish I'd seen it before I bought my one - still, my one takes up less room so mustn't grumble, and unlike Bekkie, mine stays put and up!

That is so lovely  Thanks for sharing it.

I loved Star Trek too - although obviously I watched repeats as I am only 27

Afternoon

Dreary day here - cold and grey sky  Have no enthusiasm to do anything  My feet and hands are cold so might have to put the heating on.

Am pleased to read of seeds and new spring life - is very exciting As we know, I am not a successful grower from seeds but reading about your successes does tempt me . . . . . but I don't have the fancy tools of the trade so I will have to wait
