Good Evening FORKERS

So work not as bad as it could have been  I too will have to go out and give the garden a jolly good soak as it has been roasting here!

Now off to find a delicious recipe for gammon steaks for tea. . . yummy.

Well, it looks like a lovely day today and I'm off to work for the first time in two weeks  Hope everyone has a good day, I'm not convinced that I will . . .

Last one on here . . . The trauma of staying up late for 2 weeks means you can't sleep the night before you go back to work

Glad I am not the only X Factor fan on here. . . and next week it's Strictly!!

Think of me at work when you are enjoying your gardens tomorrow and I'm stuck behind my desk

Does anyone else have this green rose?

Posted: 02/09/2013 at 00:45

I had a good look on Google at green roses, and the only ones that I can find seem to be available from florists.  I know that this probably doesn't help with your identification, but maybe you could try in your local florist and see if they can help?  In the meantime, I would like to say that I think it is very pretty

Good luck

Eek, rats and mice! We used to have this problem with our Guide tents I when they were in my friends garage. We ended up putting down traps and poison (I realise this may upset some but we couldn't afford the damage to our very expensive tents) but then had to check for dead mice, and that was worse than maybe finding live ones

No gardening today, just a run round with the hose to keep everything healthy. Had a lovely lunch with the aged parents and am now settling down to, dare I say it, the X Factor

I WILL give it a go Verd! Grab the cuttings by the horns and do it

I'll give them a bit of time to settle in first I think Verd. Will require some bravery on my part - these would be my first ever cuttings taken!  If it works, and I manage to get them to grow, what do I do with them over winter? I have a shed and a plastic greenhouse. I wouldn't want to kill them off

Fairy, not sad re bee.

Did plan to follow in your footsteps Fairy and dig my new bed/border . . . and then my family came round for a visit!  I had made a start, honest, and removed the dead fence panel, covered in Ivy, dug out most of the roots. . . but then had to stop for tea and, the inevitable cake!

Brother helped with putting in the new panel and I have now planted some of my (desperate for it) plants, lobelia and salvia amestad (sp?). They look good against the new panel.

Get it off your chest

My OH does nothing in the garden and has to be dragged out there (he is allergic to sunshine!) so it is all my own work  That said, he does seem to have an idea of what plants I have as, when watching gardening programmes he says whether we have a plant or not. He clearly pays more attention to what I buy than I think
