New Year's Day 2014 Flower Count

Posted: 01/01/2014 at 13:14

Well, my list is totally pathetic by comparison, but I am pleased to see them all

Skimmia Japonica

Pansies

Wallflowers

Violas (loads of these)

Heather - 4 different types

Cyclamen

Some white flowers from my Scent and Shake box (identity unknown, see the pic! It's a bit fuzzy but will not be taking another in this weather!)

Must try harder next year!

Fairy, thanks  Lily, right back at you

Happy New Year to all

It's been a difficult year for me, and you guys have lent me support, and so I thank you all

John, hope your recovery is swift

Can't wait to start 2014, and will be counting my flowers tomorrow!

Clari, take your jam sandwich, soak it in egg, fry and put sugar on top - camp donut! (Jammy eggy bread sandwich)

Just had a lovely evening, the APs have just made it back from their Christmas travels, popped in for supper and a mince pie. Was nice to see them  and they brought our pressies from Devon and Manchester! I now have a new bird house and some wool for the birds to pick at for their nests! Add that to my ladybird house and the bug box that Gardengirl made me, and it seems that 2014 is going to be all about wildlife

Hi all, Kef, I have the same problem with some of my clothes! It's a well known fact Verd that women's clothes shrink when they are not worn

Gg.. can't believe the things people do these days, thoughtless crimes. hope the CCTV shows something.

Chicky, hope the roof stays on  Verd, sorry to hear about the GH  Hope you can fix it.

Been out in the garden and thought I'd share the happy signs from my helibores

Hi all! Fidget, are you having an identity crisis?

Lots of walks seem planned for today - OH and I are off to the SM and may fit a walk in later!

V excited, my Propagating Plants book has turned up. A quick browse tells me I am going to enjoy this one  Along with my one called Seeds! Watch out Spring, here I come

Dove, great news re Pa.

Enjoy the rest of the day

HELLO FORKERS!

Morning all  I'm back from an amazing Christmas in Devon. Came back yesterday, following many delays on the train (flooding, fallen tree on the line, etc) was a wee bit tired so no updates!

Dove, glad all seems to be going well with your pa. Hope it continues

Gardengirl, hope you are feeling better x

Stacey, what a shock that must have been. We get a start when birds fly into our office windows, must be ten times worse when you are the window!

Lily, enjoy your day!

Verd, I'm with you on the chocolate oranges . . . You can never have too many

Hope that Santa brings you joy and something nice in your stocking

I don't think you can say thank you enough, so, thanks again for all your support, kind thoughts and gardening tips. I'm learning loads every day, and my life is better for you all being in it (soppy I know, but hey!)

So, eat, drink and be merry one and all
