Left over turfy bits

Never thought about putting it in the bottom of a large pot - genius idea Blue Onion

Might go for the stacking idea though - do you put it on anything or just straight onto the ground?

Hi all

Have just created a new bed in the lawn but have this left over:

Not entirely sure how though as it's not like the level in the bed has gone down

So ...... the question is ....... what do I do with the left overs? Can I use it to level out my lawn a bit or just bin it in the brown bin (once they are emptied) - I don't have a compost heap.

Thanks

Phew, finally decided to stop looking and get working  I have finally started my new bed across the lawn  I say started, coz I'm not sure it's a deep as I want it to be finally, but a start made none the less  I am pooped though

And here it is.......

I like it Dove, but sadly it doesn't stop the weeds coming

Btw, feel the loss of sun is my fault, bought a string of solar lights for the garden that need 3 days to 'charge' before I can turn them on. And lo, the sun disappears

Funnily enough Dove, my sun has gone too

Hosta, can I borrow OH? I have a lot of weeds so he'll be suitably entertained  and busy

P'doc, I too need to do less looking and planning and take more action

Fruit trees - plum and apple

Couldn't find the label, but remember it saying the ever-so-helpful 'patio plum'!  (The tree had the label on when I moved in) Guess I'll find a paint brush and give nature a hand, just in case

Apologies for the delay in replying, have been in the garden

My apple tree is in the ground. I will try the Vaseline trick and avoid ant powder

Will see if I can find the label for the plum tree. I didn't plant it so am not sure what type it is
