Beaus Mum, history of 'the arch' follows: bought one of those metal ones from Wilco, put it up. In storms in Nov a fence panel came out and rather wiped out the arch. I pulled it back together, put some wooden posts in to strengthen it and all was well until next doors gazebo took flight one evening and landed on it!

There in is the tale of my poorly arch and why Pa Panda and my brother have made me a new one for my birthday

Topbird, I agree!

BLizzie, glad you had a lovely time  It's great meeting Forkers

Topbird, my friends were convinced that I was going to meet up with a group of axe murderers! She even made me text her to let her know I was ok  OH had no concerns at all

Phew busy day at work today, barely stopped! Have to remove my poorly arch to his evening . . . .  Can't wait till tomorrow after work

I don't have a lobelia OL - mine got eaten by snail/slugs last year

My rudbeckia was a clump that my brother gave me as a Christmas/moving in pressie - not sure how many there were to begin with  I love them. I've got another clump a bit further along but they don't have black middles. Not sure what type either of them are

LilyP your garden looks lovely, and your pics turn round when I click on them
