I think you are right Nut  Well done, as usual 

It looks like it might be a nice flower but is in totally the wrong place!  Oh well! It's not the plant's fault! It can stay till it flowers

Eek to either plant  

The name Telekia sounds familiar.......  The leaves do have a smell to them Nut. Not sure which one that puts you in mind of? Will have a Google root 

Next time Dove, please say it MUCH louder  MUCH MUCH LOUDER

Have checked out Verbascum and I would say it's a definate no. Have also checked out elecampane and it looks almost there but I think the leaves are wrong....

Any idea what this is....

It's about 3 foot tall and about 2 foot wide at the bottom Cathy 

Did I Dove? It certainly wasn't that big when I got it

Hi all 

I haven't pulled this rather large specimen out of my garden yet as I thought it might have been a foxglove...... and then the flowers it started developing are all wrong 

Does anyone have an idea as to what it is please?

Think I am recovered now from my excursion  Have been up for a while and have done some pootling
