What Now?

Posted: 01/08/2013 at 14:20

Too late to plant now unless you can get ready potted in flower but for next time Autumn flowering crocus cancellatus which are purple white. Nerines which come in white, purple, red and pink and Colchicums again white and purply pinky colours.

Perennials (apart from the ones nutcutlet mentioned) Penstemons...just make sure you keep deadheading and they will keep flowering....all sorts of colours.

Salvia guaranica will keep flowering well into autumn and Gaura lindheimeri will too.

Are you sure you are not overwatering it? I notice you have slate or something on top of the soil so not easy to tell how wet compost is. They do like a free draining soil and hate to be too wet.

Right where did I get to....

Beautiful herbacious borders

Full of fragrant...ish giant lillies

Hemerocallis

Tall yellow things...can't remember name butterflies loved it

Achillea and Eryngiums

And even bigger and this time smelly giant lillies

And from there you went through a Wisteria tunnel

Out into the open grassy bit

Where there was a big tree

With a little tiny door

Time for tea and cake...rather grand cafe!

Then wondered off down a woodland path and found these to play on

This to paddle in...but don't tell...

Hi Paul  A picture would be good. You don't say wether you have planted it in the ground or in a pot. How often have you watered it? They do like a lot of heat and sunshine so either you have watered too much or not enough but would hate to guess would rather see pic. Yes to pruning off dead bits tho.
