Advice on best type mower sought

Posted: 14/09/2014 at 18:02

Hi Tracy, last year i spent literally ages looking at ALL types of lawn mowers as we needed an ordinary one for our new lawn ( moved house ) we ended up with a sale offer from Home Base , a Qualcast ,Brigs and  Stratton self propelled  20 " petrol easy start  mower,i was and still am for a bit not able to use it ,so my O/H kate does all the mowing ,i know you said about £100 and this was £199  But it is a really great little mower,Kate finds it a doddle to use she was worried about the self propelled bit but now she wouldnt change it , it does a great job and picks up all the grass or chops it Would i buy another YES ,maybe worth a look at H/Base

Talkback: How to make a nettle feed

Hi John,iv just move house and luckily we have Comfry patches (controlled ) iv no nettles now but the Comfry is a little bit better for the fruit and flowers side of food due to a little more potash in it,  when i used nettle feed only I needed to reduce the Nitrogen a bit so as not to get to much leafy growth but couldn't so I  bought some soluble potash and added in late April to encourage more fruit or flowers it worked and the potash was cheap and  one box will last for ages,Good luck John

funny thing is ,when i spoke to the anesthetist before the op we chatted away and thinking of all the other ops iv just had i said yes same as before no probs and that was it,in the pre op room they sprayed my back with the coldest stuff ever it was funny and injected i felt nothing, but then as we were going into the theater i said shouldn't i be going to sleep now ,""you chose the spinal"" she said ? well what a laugh Dead from the neck down golden oldies  music, a warm air blower keeping me at set temp, and the hammering sawing bit of burning smell ,the table was bumping and shacking all over the staff were so funny and what an experience  coming back into my room wide awake and feeling great Kate couldnt believe it said, I would recommend the spinal block anesthetic every time if poss ,well done the NHS Good luck Frank suns coming up erein Norfolk
