Potatoes - Dopey Question No 7

Nearly right Dove ,close enough,The exact origin of the term is unclear. It may refer to a "spudder," a shovel-like tool used to harvest potatoes, or to a wooden barrel sorters would put small potatoes into when sorting for larger ones. Hows that, take your pick,im going fa the shovel

Nice one matey out it comes soon as the rain gives us a chance that is. she has also found 3 lots of Comfry, she,s not too happy and im already smelling  that comfry tea,my buckets are ready and waiting,cheers for the info matey. (,i wish )

Hi again, nitrogen is for leaf and stem growth,phosphorous for roots,shoots,and buds and potash for flowers and fruiting and general hardiness,perhaps this might help.

Hi Steve, i went  to RHS Stellata,on the net perhaps if you try it and check that your set up is correct for your Magy it might help,we have about 7 mags the stellatta about 4 years old (they are slow growers at first )is just superb  this year, we fed on FBB and plenty of water ,it also has no other trees / shrubs, near by competing for its water  Good luck

Judy Hi ,i found this at the RHS site as i dont know anything about your plant but im wondering if a spot of Potash might help with the flowering ,iv just given a Peace Lilly a small feed on it , they are a bit of a (i do what I want plant ) but it now has 7 good flowers ,so perhaps it might help, wont do any harm i dont think and potash is cheap

Hi all,Petiolaris it is then,a very nice climbing Hydrangea, a must for propagating,its clinging to the fence for about 7 feet and 3 feet high and in very good nick,im well pleased with that one, many thanks to you all for the help,and its still pouring here in Norfolk .  Alan4711

Hi KT53, not swearing by it yet ,its early days but i did say i would keep the site informed, Kates now mowing twice a week and says she finds it easier as one cut is quicker, lets see how it goes till fall, cheers KT ,it simply chucking it down ere in Norfolk and I mean buckets ,the trees are laughing
