i soaked my peas in parrafin for a couple of seconds to stop the mice eating them,they still dug a few up but didnt eat them i pushed em back and had really good peas ( Hurst green ) best weve done so far,

for tall plants the previous owners along with bamboo planted pampas now that really is stunning,about 10 feet tall flowing in the high winds its in my opinion far better looking than my bamboo and no probs, i am worried about the bamboo as one is too close to my really good neighbours fence i will be having a good look at it ,

hi Wendy i have bamboo so i looked it up on Bamboo RHS there are 2 types Running (invasive) Clumping ( not invasive) have a look

hi all we used posts and chicken wire, worked a treat ,then we tried farmers round 5 foot fence posts at ??1:09 each and farmers fencing its much stronger cheap and simply rolls up when not required,for beans and peas its perfect, there's a choice of fence sizes small squares or larger we used the 4" square type just right,farmers suppliers are really good for allotmenteers and gardeners and are very helpful to the smaller purchasers,as they said all sales help these days,if your near one givem a try we use them often,

Hi Anthony Peace lilly is a house favourite ,it grows quite large if you want and simply droops when it wants a drink ,partial or almost full shade, they love also bathrooms,flowers are stunning and the plant has a mind of its own,my two have been flowering for months,i cant upload photos on this site but they were about 6 inches tall 7 months ago now both 18 inches tall and same wide ,i feed on Nettle juice or baby bio, avago

dove strikes again and yes Jan 13 blessem and there's a definite build up of boozy things arriving daily, Christmas tree goes up tomorrow, and as everyone knows you have to drinks its health when its all trimmed up,if u didnt u do now cheers all ,ps dove you were right about Reeds nursery just the job for info and trees etc really helpful.
