Posted: 04/04/2015 at 12:07

Hi i don't fill my bird feeders i just put in a small amount and keep topping them up. i do this as with all the rain the seed mixes can go mouldy.

Jim your garden is amazing i can see why you have lots of birds you must have plenty of insects as well, how big is your garden it looks huge, i'm so envious!

Hi Lois, i find Pinterest very helpful, if you type in small garden ideas it will bring up lots of great pics. I agree with Patsy to try and encourage wildlife as children love to watch birds, butterflies and creepy crawlies. also pinterest have good ideas for fairy gardens for children.

I think it's a great idea LeadFarmer, the friday night programme is so short.

How many people garden in the UK  and we get one half hour programme a week. I also loved the Geoff hamilton programmes, Its realy the gardening i'm interested in,but we all have our favorite presenters.

I have a mole in my allotment and his favorite place to make all his tunnels is my potato bed !

I am not sure if this has caused blight or if my potatoes have gone like this because the roots are damaged.

Should i take all the foilage off and burn it ?
