Just a few photos this week. Loving everyone's garden pictures as usual.  Trying to catch up with everything.  Above is the promise of things to come, loads of buds, this is a double headed clematis, beautiful when in full bloom.

an old copper coal scuttle filled with wild flower seeds.  One of the children planted this a few weeks ago and it seems to be flowering nicely.

What veg are you growing this year?

Oh nearly firgot, rhubarb!

What veg are you growing this year?

Posted: 16/05/2014 at 23:31

Here goes my list

Planted so far, parsnips, onions, both autumn and spring planted. Potatoes, broccoli,  little gem lettuce. Spinach beet, chard, beetroot, radish, spring onions,  carrots,  salad leaves. Garlic,  turnips.

Still growing on in the greenhouse are cucumbers,  tomatoes,  squash, courgettes, sweet peppers, leeks, cauliflowers.

Have ordered swertcorn plants and dwarf french beans. Only one out of 12 of my french beans have come up which I setmyself.

Also have a fab patch of strawberries,  raspberries both summer and autumn. Trees, apple, plum and pear which were only planted early on this year. I also have a blackcurrant and possibly something else I inherited, but not sure what it is.

Have also started to set various seeds for cut flowers.

Phew, I have more than I thought!

This is in my neighbours garden flowering now, can anyone please identify it :)

And it's not self clinging so needs tying in.

Spotted green fly in my greenhouse, attacking my dahlias. Not happy. Just blasted them with soapy water.

Post a new picture once its established. Would be interested to see you new planting.

What am I?

Definitely aqualegia. They are very promiscuous so you will find they self seed easily. Very easy to keep, very little care required. I have several colours, yellow,  pink, blue, purple.  Couldn't tell you what varieties though. I know I have Nora Barlow.
