We Have found a strange hole in the soil near one of the drains in our garden, I think that it may belong to either Toads or Frogs has anyone else got any Ideas?.

Many of the people down my street also have ponds, but we don't, but we get many little toads and frogs (Some big ones too!) any way. We also have  a number of Toads currently living in our back Garden And Just Last Week i found a Toad Living in my Raised Garden bed !

Hello,

After I got my new April issue of Gardeners World Magazine Magazine I was reading through andi found the article "Toad in the hole".

I think that we should certainly support toads and frogs in and around the garden, they have many benefits that include eating pests in th garden and if we have ponds or other Toad and Frog friendly features in our gardens then they can certainly help us.

I would be very happy If any one coud give any feed back or say If they have had any sightings of them in the garden.

Thanks,

Andrew.

Hi all,

In responce to the article in my april gardeners world edition "Toad In A Hole" (Page 58) I think that we should do more in our gardens to support Toads and Frogs.

These helpful creatures can eat pests and add an extra amount of wildlife to our gardens and many other good reasons.

I personaly do not have a pond in my garden but almost everyone else on the street does so it is great when we get the often few creeping into our garden.

I would be happy of any feedback and to hear if anyone else gets these cool creatures in there gardens and what we can do to help them.

Thanks.

Tulips and Beans

Posted: 02/03/2012 at 19:56

Hi all,

i have planted my spring bulbs (tulips) in a nice wooden container with some trellis running up the side of it.

Just after my Tulips slowly emerged from under the soil, i realised that this would be the perfect spot for my bean plants to be grown in this March.

So, what I am trying to find out is...

Should I take out my bulbs after they have flowered and plant my beans in their place, should i leave the bulbs in under the ground and plant my beans over them, or should i just not bother at all and find a new spot to plant my beans.

Thanks, Any advice would be appreciated.

The big basket challenge

Posted: 26/02/2012 at 21:00

As i have just got my new issue of gardener world magazine, I was reading about the big basket challenge and I was wondering if anyone else was taking part too. Because this is the year of the diamond jubileeand the olympics, I think it would be great if as many people could get involved as possible for this special occation. I was considering doing a red, white and blue display of petunia.

Any other ideas of what other people are doing? I would love too find out!

Thanks.

Andrew.
