garden centres vs garden nursery's

Both are needed is my thinking there is plenty garden's to keep both happy i like to visit both depending what i need. My local G/C has a great choice of plants but have a few small nursery's also if need a special plant so am a lucky man all only 15/20 min away.

Morning all a good touch of frost here this morning but sun trying hard to get out also looks like it's going to be a lovely day. Going to cut the back hedge then do some dahlia cuttings hope no one has got caught with the frost that have put things outside.

That and the mess the houses are in must be a nightmare for the people my heart goes out to them if i lived nearer i would help more so with the elderly. It's going to take a good bit of time to get things back to normal. Instead of our country sending money all over the world for everybody else let's start at home looking after our own first. After all they are the one's that has paid into this countries fund's all their working life's sorry rant over.

Liney Am new to gardening just about 16 month ago i planted these lilies in tubs and they where great here's a picture of some in a vase.

Sowed more seeds today again Verbena Bonariensis,Eryngium,Sweet Peas,Bidens Golden Goddess,Poppy Orientale,Foxglove Alba,Tomato Maskotka.. Both greenhouses starting to fill up now will have plenty plants for the girls i work with and the garden club keep them all happy and me busy.

Today is the first time i have spent a bit of time in my garden & greenhouses as i got my bare root plants today from Hayloft Plants. Must say very happy with them got 15 Alstroemeria 10 Phlox so all in pots & tubs in the greenhouse. Also planted 2 Polyantha roses (pink) 15 Ranunculus mixed and 4 white Lilies all in the greenhouse. Got two 8ft two tiers aluminium staging from the The Greenhouse People today so weather being good that's my job this weekend plus sowing more seeds.
