Morning all well that's the weekend away again and back to work never stopped at the weekend got loads done outside on Sat and inside on Sun. Got a great deal for the sports kits for the kids on Sat then went to the GC and bought some compost and also an Astilbe heart & soul plant reduced to £5 from £19.99 so happy with that.Sunday i singled out 80 onions 40 leeks and 94 Verbascum plus started my hanging baskets. Oh forgot and taxi my daughter to and from the train station on Sat she and her friends going to night out in Edinburgh for my daughters birthday that's what dads are for now back to work for a rest.

Morning all it's overcast now been raining done the outside work yesterday left the greenhouse stuff for today. So thats where my duties will be today got a tray of verbascum & verbena bonariensis to single out plus my 4 hanging baskets to do for starters. Swiss Sue if it was only that easy  GG enjoy your church wifes goes every week enjoys singing her heart out as she used to do a bit of singing when she was younger now my daughter does all the singing at the clubs and events.

I've broken the main stem of my fuchsia standard help!

Morning all just in from greenhouse after pricking out 2 tray of seedlings it's going to be a good day weather wise sun trying to get out the now. Quick cuppa then go and do my message for the school then the GC should be back at 11am ready for plenty more gardening jobs have a good day all in your gardens.

Evening all going to the local sports shop with a letter from the headteacher for a price for 11 pair boys age 11 football shorts 20 tracksuits 30 of each age 5,8&11 waterproof jackets hope to get a good deal for the kids. Then down to the local GC for a bag of each sand,grit & perlite plus some compost then back home and get the garden working clothes on. Got 4 tray of seedlings to single out and 2tray of each onions and leeks to plant into veg patch a new 6ft plastic coated metal gate to hang at the back garden 4 hanging baskets to pot up and put in greenhouse for a few weeks ready to go out.So busy weekend then back to work on Monday for a rest  and see my family 250 happy kids. 

Don't want my greenhouse blowing down..

I know someone who done this the way bob is telling you and he extended his door by screwing those thick clear plastic 6inch strips you see on big freezer doors to kept the wind and rain out it does the job well. Also instead of glass you can put polycarbonate in the door not as heavy and cant really break hope this helps you.

Morning all had a lovely dinner last night Verdun was nearly sending for you had a struggle with the banoffee pie & cream that means need to work it off in the garden this weekend. Raining here at the moment but it's to get better this afternoon and be good on Sat & Sun. Need to go and get compost for my hanging baskets and still got 6 tray of seedlings to single out got 3x70lt bag of compost last night in Asda for £10 i will see what that looks like when i burst it open. Tomorrow morning early go to the GC and get more compost plus a bag of sand plus no doubt treat myself to a few plants have a good day folks.

Maud sorry to hear about your cat it's always sad when you lose a pet as they become part of the family and they all are different in their own ways. But great news about your dad so helps to make up for your loss a little. Well need to run now think i hear my steak sizzling and banoffee pie coming out the fridge  if i need a help i will post you all lol no chance of that.

Just in from work quick change and shower going out for dinner with wife son and daughter was daughters birthday yesterday so treating them to dinner. Could not go last night as daughter was singing and i can tell you am ready for my dinner now . So just going to do a quick look around the greenhouse and garden to make sure things are fine then out. Down side wife wants to do a shopping on the way home but i might sneak in a few plants in her trolley if i see anything i like.
