My cordiline survived the very worst of winter 2010/11 but it is getting too tall. Will it regrow if I cut it off half way up? It is about 10 foot tall now with all the growth at the top.

Hi I thought someone might have an answer to the problem as mine even went brown this last winter which has been milder here in Somerset. My book says Ceanothus needs shelter from harsh winds and severe frosts so I think mine needs a new home.

Hi Adam, I have a ceanothus shrub in my front garden (which is west facing and I live in Somerset)and every spring most of the leaves are brown.I usually cut these off but I have very few flowers. It looks pretty woody. It's about 3 foot tall. Is it the wrong place?
