I wasn't sure what this insect was until I found it on the forum, well it has reached the East Midlands.
You could try spraying your clothes before you go out into the garden, I also keep the anti mosquito wipes in my pockets not necessarily for using on my skin, but hopefully the smell of these products might keep the mozzies at bay.
Once I have killed the slugs, by salt water,beer traps and other methods, where do i dispose the remains?
thanks to everyone who has helped me to identify, I am going with the Devonshire Dumpling, I thought it might be too pale a pink to be Micky Goult.
Can anyone tell me what variety of fuchsia this is please? I have a habit of taking cuttings and not labelling them and losing the original label or finding the name has faded to obscurity, I use a cd writer pen but that seems to fade.

wet,windy and grim, I will not be outside today, the fence pancels are wobbling back and forth they will need to be replaced soon, hopefully they will stay until I can replace them.
