Hi -I have seen others with the same problem build a scarecrow and it remedied the problem-might be worth a try ?

Hi I have 5ft ornamental rowan saplings planted in my garden -The Sheerwater seedlings and Joseph Rock variety have rust spots on their leaves- does this require  treatment?- also what is it/ does it harm the tree? -also should they be fertilized-if so what do you suggest-?

-I would appreciate any constructive insights and suggestions-Thank you

Hi I have two buxus trees -I got them around Christmas and didn't transplant them to a larger planting  vessel (guilty!).-They have acquired new growth with the onset of milder weather but they also have white loose powder on the leaves *not like mildew more like talc)-Does this harbour a pest? -does it need treatment?-any ideas what this might be and how I should treat it? -Thank you.

Thank you for those suggestions much appreciated (it was also suggested old motor oil?? -does that work? -not very eco or horse friendly  I would have thought?)Will google the cribox-and maybe wire -although its a very long area to cover-thanks again for those ideas.

Only one tree was girdled (oh it was a cherry tree now that I think of it)- about four other apple trees were damaged but not ringed.Thanks for the reassurance re-sealant -I love trees  in the garden and just wanted reassurance I hadn't caused more damage.Thank you for taking the time to respond-much appreciated.
