suitable lawnmower for lady gardener

I have had a look at the lawnmower on Screwfix site, and it sounds ideal. It is so much better to get advice from people who have actually had practical experience with items . Many Thanks

Could anyone suggest a suitable lawnmower for a lady gardener, who needs to transport one in the back of her Corsa, to mow customers lawns. I have had no experience of mowers(other than my push one!) so need one that is light and easy to use. Any suggestions please!!

I was just wondering whether anyone has any good ideas, of how to get rid of bamboo. I have tried digging it up but it is very hard work with the shoots being so tough  and having spread quite a bit.

improving the lawn

Posted: 10/01/2014 at 12:38

Is this a good time of year, to put some of my rotting leaf mould on the grass to improve the structure and drainage.About three quarters of my lawn is shaded by a large oak tree, so it always needs a lot of work to keep it in a reasonable condition . This is the first dry sunny day in Norfolk we have had for a while, and I am really itching to get out and do something, Advice would very much be appreciated.

My broccolli plants had a fare amount of caterpillar nibbling in late summer , and have a lot of very bare lower leaves , although the centres have recovered a little , with nice new growth. Would it be of any benefit to the plant, to take off these lower stripped leaves?

Is it a good idea, to now get the green tomatoes off the outdoor plants, and ripen them indoors.
