Very hit and miss with T&M, I bought 3 climbing roses which were the wrong variety, they replaced them but I'd lost a years growing time and the replacements haven't flowered yet - we'll see. More positively I bought 3 hardy bareroot geraniums and got 5.

Positive thoughts and silly things for the tough times

Morning all, Tracy I grew Delphiniums from seed the year before last, one of my greatest success's, just make sure you harden them off slowly and protect from slugs. Don't let them flower in the 1st year (most of them won't anyway) in the second year restrict them to three flower spikes or they may flower themselves to death. Mine are starting their 3rd year so I'm looking forward to letting them flower their socks off. I got some lovely colours, white, dark blue, dark purple, powder blue and my favourite which is a mix of pale blue and pink.

Edd, we should have a thread about cheap and preferably free gardening solutions. I spent some time today researching plants I would have in and around the pond I haven't got and it came to £130! This forum's great but every time some one mentions a plant they love I look it up and love it too. The wish list is getting very long.
