I started a thread on this last year on the BBC Message Board and the advice I was given was very similar to the above by many helpful contributers, it was also suggested that using a  (basic) Lawn Weed and Feed Mixture - worked!  The food Supermarkets in this area of France do not sell such products

I have the same problem 'everywhere'.  It is in the meadow and travels into the garden borders and this year it has been every more invasive with all the rain - any idea's of how to control it or even 'kill it' before it kills me?

Thank you Gold1locks for your advice on Sheep/Common Sorrel, that is the bane of my life.  We have been here 8 years and it is still very rampant, but will try your advice, if I can get hold of the mentioned Herbicides here.  Asperge.

We have about half and acre of meadow grass which includes the above.  Although weather permitting it is cut on a regular basis this particular weed spreads like mad - any idea's on how to get rid of it would be appreciated.  I am afraid that clearing the area is not a possiblity.  Asperge.

Talkback: How to take summer cuttings

Very useful, as the majority of the books do not give detailed advise.
It is some time since I came back to your site as I seemed to have problems in saving items, so hope to use it more often now.
