Any one know what this is?

That looks like the same thing I seen on one of my azalea plants yesterday. Ive just taken cuttings from them as well. I shall spray the big plants but is it safe to use insecticide on cuttings?

Hi folks, I have used an unheated propagator in the past and managed to raise a few plants here and there. I have just bought a heat mat and today I planted 5 desert rose seeds into some of those little jiffy pod thingymabobs, placed them in a plastic box with lid and put it on the heat mat

Now for the main question: If one germinates before the others, do i remove the lid and just hope the others catch up or do i remove the germinated one from the box and leave the other ones till they have also germinated. I really hope someone understands what im going on about because im starting to confuse myself.. Any advice appreciated

Can anyone identify this tree please?

Ive got a grafted Kilmarnock willow and that is definitely the same leaf. A seed dropped into another pot last year and its taken off like a rocket

I have to say my hibiscus for the last few years looked sad. Leaves were pale looking. This year i just lopped about a foot off of it and ive been feeding it religiously with miracle grow, stuck a bit of mulch around it (its in a container). I have to say its looking really healthy now. Diggermum, maybe it would benefit from some sequestrene?

Identify Please ?

Thanks muddyfork I would agree with you now that you say it could be lichen. That is definitely what it looks like. I shall just carry on clipping and pray that its not this honeyfungus stuff.

Ive just been out trimming the privet hedge and there are a few bald patches, with some new growth coming up underneath. On the stems there appears to be little lumps of what would look like cigarette ash. My neighbour has said its honey fungus but when i google all i can see are pics of toadstools and i dont have any of them. The hedge if only 6 years old and up until now has been very healthy, and id hate to lose it because apparently there is no cure for honey fungus
