Please can you name this plant

This is in the boarder and it stands about 6ft tall at the moment.  As you can see it has variegated leaves and small white flowers.  Does anyone know what it's called?  Also any advice on it's care would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Thank you that's very helpful.  It will be put in the garden once we've sorted it out.

I've inherited a few scruffy plants in pots and sadly the previous owner is no longer around to tell me what they are called.  Can anyone tell me the name of this plant and any advice about it's care would be appreciated. Thank you.

I rescued this plant from being thrown out after my Mother-in-law passed away. All I know is she took this cutting from a larger one which she kept as a house plant. It has clusters of little pink flowers which are just about to open. Could anyone tell me what it is.  The larger one is now too big for a window cill and is currently in the greenhouse.  Any advice on looking after it would be appreciated.

Mulsh with manure

Is it still ok to put manure around the base of roses? If it's not the right time when should it be done?

Magnolia

A few months ago I brought a bare root Magnolia (Pink Satisfaction) plant,  I planted it in a large terrocotta pot,  Until the last few days there were no signs of growth anywhere on it.  The bark,if that is the correct term, on it is a pinky colour and there now are new shoots  growing just above the base of the plant,

My question is should I leave the Magnolia as it is or should I cut the stem off above the new growth?  I would appreciate your advice which will encourage this plant to grow as I very nearly gave up on it until the new growth appeared.

Sefl Seeded Onion

Today I found what appears to be self seeded onions in the same area of the veg patch that I planted onions last year.  I didn't havest any of the onions in the autumn as the crop appeared to have failed.  Is it worth leaving these young onion plants to crop this year or should I just dig them up and start again?
