It's on top of the ground chica, I suppose I could pack some polythene underneath the sink and then just wait and see.

Thanks but a really hard frost would freeze it all the way through, would it crack the sink, it's one of those old, white ones?

pets and why they are called what they are called

I had a two Rottweilers called Kiefer (Sutherland) and Nathan ( just liked the name) and a ginger and white cat called Leroy!!! And my friend had an Irish Wolfhound called Mouse, just because he was grey. Pet names should be given as much thought as children's names I think.

Hi all, I have been managing a small sink pond in my garden all summer and although it has no fish in it it does have some water plants like water lilies etc, if we get a harsh frost the whole pond will freeze up, will this kill all the plants? Should I empty the pond and take the plants out and put them in the shed? Please help as the plants were quite expensive so I don't want to have to replace them all again next spring.

Hi, I have noticed that some of the holes in my bug house seem to have what looks like leaves blocking some of the holes, I regularly see bees in the holes but I'm not sure if it's the weather that has blown wet leaves onto the holes and they have stuck there or if it's a deliberate insect related cover, does anyone have any ideas?

Pond Plants

I planted a mini bull rush in my tiny sink pond but it's just laying there doing nothing, do they only grow at certain times? I planted a water lily too and that is growing okay.
