Yes, I mentioned that in my post just above 

I contacted the nursery from where I bought them - not because I felt they were substandard but for some advice as I'm a novice with plugs.  Basically they said the weather conditions was probably to blame ...it was my first time buying them but I've lost a lot and the few remaining ones are struggling.  I think I've given plugs up as a bad job and will just have to pay garden centre prices   regards

Hello everyone 

I planted lilies bulbs (oriental, I think) for the first time this year.... I think they have flower heads on at the moment but I spotted that one stem is black and wilted from the top down part of the stem.  Could this be infectious and should I lift this particular plant?  

Is it ever going to STOP!!!!

I've hardley any flowers in the garden this year.  The ones I do have...lupins and foxglove...have all taken a battering with the heavy rain and are bent double   I bought a stack of plugs this year for the first time and have lost quite a few - the rest are struggling to survive.  Greenhouse is empty too   I  admit to being a 'fair-weather' gardener so, as you can imagine, there's not too much gardening going on.

Last year I collected the seed head of my giant alliums and stored them.  This year my new puppy destroyed the emerging plants   I would love to try growing them from the seed collected but don't know when to sow and how do I go about it?  I haven't had much success with raising plants from seeds. Again, any help welcome

Hi all

I've lifted a huge clump of Crocosmia - it was stuffed to capacit plus I had to do some other work in the garden - but I would hate to lose them.  Is it possible to re-pot / re-plat them into smaller bunches without losing them at this stage?   Any help welcome

Our laurel hedge has gotten so beyond us and hubby is keen to cut it down and right back to the wood with the idea of getting it to a manageble height again.  If we do this will it come back again?  I hate the idea being left with bare stumps and no green growth
