Thank you Figetbones, I will do that. Do you think I ought to scrap the mother plant or will it recover. I have nearly always  bought bedding plants, but finding it is hard work. I have been substituting them for shrubs and bulbs. Have you any recommendations on what would say look good late autumn and not to much work

Thank very much

Hello Everyone

I have had this Dianthus plant for two years now and this year it has not flowered.

There is lots of foliage, can  the individual ones be taken from the main plant and rooted in pots or should I dispose of it and by a new one. I really would like to save it as it is smells beautiful.

I will be grateful for any suggestions offered

Sweet Peas

Posted: 10/07/2014 at 15:50

I have grown my sweet peas from seed . I planted them out to grow up a long tall frame. They look healthy etc but some seem to be dwarf and some have grown upwards no trouble at all. I think I may have got a packet of mixed seed, is this possible. If I take out the dwarf ones will I be able to plant them up in another pot or am I dreaming .  The dwarf ones have started flowering.

Hope some one can help.

Thank You.

Thanks  Fleurisa. I have thought about that as I have spent a lot of money on plants. They finally got planning permission to build on the allotments that use to be, after a forty year battle, we won every time,  except this time the House of Lords overturned the council.

Builders dust

Hi

unfortunately I have builders next to my court yard and the dust from all the earth removing is covering my plants with a clay dust. I hosepipe them each evening but I cannot remove all of the dust. Some of my plants now seem to be dying. Has anyone any suggestions as I love to sit out there on nice evenings and admire my work, I feel like my efforts have even wasted.

Thanks

Thank you Verdun I watered them tonight already and I have put a large lemonade bottle over them. Can't use slug pellets as I have small dogs. I hope this will protect what's left.

Hi everyone

I planted some stocks yesterday, when watering this evening. There was just stalks left. I am presuming that snails had eaten them . Is there anyway I can save them as they are a beautiful colour and smell terrific.. Will the roots be still in tact so that they will reflower.
