Hi......

Can any one help.I have three "lace" type hydrangaes in my front garden and two of them appear to be bearing this years blooms at the tip of the branch's.They do not seem to have any foliage lower down the branch should I consider cutting them back when flowering has finished ?

Thank You

Thank you,I hear what you say but we are only just entering August and they seem to have only been in bloom for about a month and they are changing to a washed out pink already, I would have thought September  but isn't August a bit soon ?

I have three Hydrangeas in my front garden two blue and one a dark red. Each year they bloom with deep colours but it is not long before they fade or go a washed out pink colour.

They are watered well what can I do to retain their colour ?

Thanks

Yes it was Jacaranda but unfortunately it will not tolerate our climate so it would be foolish for me to pursue it further but thanks again.

Sorry but could someone help me further.I have an infestation of a white sticky grub type substance which is on the underside of the foliage on a Hydrangea bush I have in the front garden. Some leaves are completely covered with it and I have noticed they turn yellow and just drop off. I have been carefully wiping  it off but there is to much of it.Can anyone identify it for me and offer a solution please?

Thank you. I am sorry I am late replying but I have spent some time incapacitated.

Could you let me know when the ideal time is for planting the seeds as the owner of a café in Cephalonia gave me some when we were there visiting.

Thank you

I have a larger than usual number of worm casts in my front lawn is there a way of preventing these ?

my rear lawn is almost free of them and they get the same amount of cutting and feeding
