Are these allium worth keeping?

I like the idea of "new ventures"!! Think I'll go for it! Thanks for advice.

No, there are no flower stems.... just lots of luscious leaves

Are these allium worth keeping?

I have numerous clumps of allium which are bursting with buds - but others which are just a bunch of green leaves. (I think this may be the second year for one or two of them....) Should I leave them in and hope for better next year? Or would you dig them up, use the space for Summer bedding then replant new allium in the Autumn?

Dorset Perennals

Good to know - especially as we live in Dorset! if I had to recommend just one firm it would be Woolmans. I have bought plants and bulbs from them in the last twelve months and don't think I'll ever go back to the companies I used to use. The quality is excellent and customer service first class.

Fuchsias

Most of mine look to be OK - but some are very much slower to show signs of life than others. A few (Chilli Red) for example always worry me at this time of year - and then, by the beginning of May, they're fine.

Would you chop this cornus?

I'm sure this  cornus (Batôn Rouge) is going to look lovely in a bare, semi-shaded corner of my garden. I really don't want to remove it's beautiful stems, especially as there are a number of flower buds .... do you think I could leave the "cornus chop" I always apply until next Spring?

I'm so worried about my roses

I've learnt a lot from this thread. Thank you..... I realise that I tend to spray to prevent problems (which may never arise and could be easily dealt with if and when they do).

Thank you both! I feel much better now.

I have five climbing roses; two are in pots and three in the ground. They are in different parts of the garden. i was horrified when I looked at them today - obviously I have seen black spot before, but never this pink colouring .... they were fine last week. The only thing they have in common is that I applied my usual granular rose feed (well washed-in) and fungicide ..... the leaves seem very limp, so I have given them all a good soak. Please tell me they'll be OK ...

sorry photo is sideways ...

Well, that's a relief! (I was a happy bunny before and I'm a happy bunny now)
