slugs

We have used broken eggs shells with great success,dry them first,break them in to smallish peices,and place around affected plants,more shell the better,if you know someone who works in a cafe or restaurant, ask them to save the shells for you...good luck....

I agree with Dove from above,after living in Spain,all the Spanish use the Skin So Soft,moisture spray,my wife also uses this as she is the starter,main meal & sweet for mozzies.....give it a go....good luck...

Slugs

As I say try broken egg shells,really works...dry them break them up & place around the plant(s) affected...tried the lager traps,but made me retch,and I have got a very strong stomach..... I have got a pond now,and adopted some forg spawn,this also seems to be working,although we have got really big slugs,possibly the Spanish ones everbody is talking about,approx 3-4 inches long black and green,so the frogs only appear to go for the babies which is great....Strange really,as we lived in Spain for 6 years,& never once saw a single slug anywhere... ....

You could try putting a ring of sharp stones around the plants,I have found that this works,Also the best tip I have been given,is....wait for it....broken eggs shells....yes this works.....when you get the egg shell,try and dry it out first,as when you break them into smaller pieces,the are sharper,slugs etc dont like to scratch their bottoms...lol..
