Viburnum x bodnantense 'Dawn' Viburnum

Posted: 01 January 2014
Overall: This is flowering in my garden now, December, however blooms are a lot.smaller than this picture. Adds winter colour and screens an ugly fence in summer so earns it's keep.

Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens' Lilyturf

Posted: 01 January 2014
Overall: I have grown mine as an edging plant at the front of a sunny border. It offsets the box behind it beautifully. Very easy to divide and grow more plants.

Hypericum 'Hidcote' St. John's wort

Posted: 31 December 2013
Overall: A reliable plant to have in your border or as a hedge or on boundary. Prolific flowering.

Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon' Houttuynia

Posted: 31 December 2013
Overall: Has a nice Orange scent however very invasive and pops up in gaps. You have been warned

Heuchera 'Sugar Plum' Coral flower

Posted: 31 December 2013
Overall: They are ready for dividing when the fleshy part of the root is at soil level. Dig out carefully keeping roots intact and enduring there is as leaf / New shoot at the end. Cut about 2in from main plant and replant covering all but the leaf. Plant horizontally.

Hebe 'Frozen Flame' Hebe

Posted: 31 December 2013
Overall: I have this in clay soil in full Sun. It does well but suffers with hard frost.

Geranium 'Stormchaser' Hardy geranium

Posted: 31 December 2013
Overall: Can be grown in clay soil. Spreads quickly, cut back to encourage New flowers and too keep tidy

Geranium 'Johnson's Blue' Hardy geranium

Posted: 31 December 2013
Overall: Grows well in my clay soil. Planted underneath choysia Sundance which compliments it well.

Dierama pulcherrimum Slieve Donard Hybrids Angel's fishing rod

Posted: 31 December 2013
Overall: Do you cut it back every year? Mine is in clay soil but has not flowered, have cut it back once but taking ages to grow back. I think it's days are numbered.

Dicentra spectabilis Bleeding heart

Posted: 31 December 2013
Overall: I have clay soil, have tried planting at the front of a border and no success.
